CHOCOLATE TEDDY BARS 
2/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs; blend well. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture, blending thoroughly. Chill until dough is form.

Form teddy bears form; 1 large (1 to 1 1/2 inches) ball of dough, 1 medium ball (3/4 inch) for head, 4 smaller balls for paws, and 2 small balls for ears.

On ungreased cookie sheet flatten large ball slightly. Attach paws, head and ears. Draw face with toothpick. Bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack and cool completely. (Makes 14 bears.)
