Ready to zap in microwave.

Scrub well and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Peel when hot, cool, place on baking sheet and place in deep freezer. Place in plastic bag when frozen. Yams are always ready for your favorite recipe.

Place a frozen yam in the microwave to accompany chicken salad or a quick meal. Good with a pat of butter, salt and pepper.

Advantage of cooking a large number of yams:

1. They spoil if kept in pantry.

2. They are cooked and ready to eat.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
