COFFEE ICE CREAM 
1 tsp. gelatin
1 c. milk
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. flour
1 egg, well beaten
1 tbsp. cold water
1 c. strong black coffee
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. whipping cream

Soften gelatin in cold water. Scald milk and coffee and slowly add to combined sugar, salt and flour, mixing well. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir small amount into egg mixture, return to remaining hot mixture and cook 2 minutes longer. Add gelatin and stir until dissolved. Cool. Add cream and vanilla. Freeze at coldest temperature.
