CHRISTINA'S OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. reg. rolled oats
1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg (slightly beaten)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. flour

Melt butter in large saucepan, add oats and cook stirring constantly until golden. Let cool.

Mix sugar, salt, flour, baking powder and sift. Add to butter mixture. Add egg, vanilla and nuts.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes spacing far apart on baking sheet. Remove to rack while warm.
