KAHLUA 
1 pt. water
3/4 c. sugar
1 vanilla bean
4 1/2 tbsp. instant coffee
1/2 c. hot water
3 1/2 c. or 4/5 vodka
1 tsp. glycerine

1. Mix water, sugar, and vanilla bean cut in 3 pieces. Boil for 20 minutes and cool.

2. Dissolve instant coffee in a 1/2 cup of hot water, when cool combine 1 and 2 together and strain through cheese cloth. Add 3 1/2 cups or 4/5 vodka and 1 teaspoon glycerine. Shake and let stand for 2 weeks. Best kept in dark bottles.
