1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins (cooked in water)
1 1/2 c. apple sauce
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 c. walnuts, chopped

Mix together and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done.
