TEXAS PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. canned milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. peanut butter

In a deep saucepan, mix together sugar, syrup, salt and milk. Cook over medium heat until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234 degrees on a candy thermometer). Cool and add peanut butter. Beat vigorously until mixture shines and starts to thicken. Pour out onto a buttered platter or square pan. Cool. Cut into squares.
