RHUBARB COBBLER 
COBBLER:

2-3 c. rhubarb (pieces)
1/4 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
Nutmeg (opt.)

TOPPING:

1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. lard
1/2 c. milk
Pinch of salt

COBBLER: Put cut up rhubarb in large bowl. Stir in the water, sugar, flour and nutmeg. Put this in pie pan or 8"x8" pan.

TOPPING: Mix flour, baking powder, lard, milk and salt together and put on top of rhubarb mixture. bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. (Delicious warm with ice cream.

Really liked the filling, but my topping was tough. Used a pastry cutter to incorporate the shortening I used in place of lard. Wondering if it is my method or not.
