RHUBARB COBBLER | |
COBBLER: 2-3 c. rhubarb (pieces) 1/4 c. water 1 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour Nutmeg (opt.) TOPPING: 1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 4 tbsp. lard 1/2 c. milk Pinch of salt COBBLER: Put cut up rhubarb in large bowl. Stir in the water, sugar, flour and nutmeg. Put this in pie pan or 8"x8" pan. TOPPING: Mix flour, baking powder, lard, milk and salt together and put on top of rhubarb mixture. bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. (Delicious warm with ice cream. |
