PUMPKIN DATE NUT BREAD | |
2/3 c. butter 2 c. sugar 3 eggs 1/2 c. water 1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin 2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 2/3 c. chopped pecans 2/3 c. cut dates Cream butter; add sugar gradually; add eggs; beat well. Blend in water, pumpkin and sifted dry ingredients. Fold in pecans and dates. Pour into 2 greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves. |
