HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
6 slices fried bacon, crumbled 1/2 c. chopped celery 1 c. chopped onion 3 tbsp. flour 1 1/3 c. water 2/3 c. vinegar 2/3 c. sugar 3 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 8 medium potatoes, cooked in skins, peeled Cook bacon, drain and return 1/4 c. to skillet. Add celery and onions. Cook for one minute. Blend in flour. Stir in water and vinegar. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture is thick and bubbly. Stir in sugar, salt and pepper. Pour mixture over potatoes and bacon. Mix lightly. Cover and bake for 30 minutes at 350°F. |
