DOWN HOME CORN BREAD 
1 c. butter, room temperature
3/4 c. granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 c. cream style corn
1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 c. flour
1 c. yellow cornmeal
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Use mixer, beat butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time beating after each addition. Gradually beat in corn and cheeses. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Spread evenly in prepared pan. Place in oven, close door, immediately reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Serve warm.
