THELMA'S FAMOUS CREAM CHEESE
POUND CAKE
 
1 1/2 c. (3 sticks) butter, room temp.
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, room temp.
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 10" tube or Bundt pan. Beat butter and cream cheese until well blended. Add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Add vanilla, then add sifted flour and salt. Mix well. Spoon into pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Cool in pan five minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
