PRUNE CAKE 
1 c. oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. each cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1 c. cooked prunes, chopped

BUTTERMILK ICING:

1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Blend oil and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Add all other ingredients and bake. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out dry. 12 to 14 servings.

ICING: Boil ingredients for 20 minutes on low. Make holes in the cake with toothpick. Pour over cake while in the pan.
