PRUNE CAKE 
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. nuts, chopped (opt.)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
1 c. cooked prunes (opt.)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg

Mix all together, bake in ungreased pan in 300 degree oven for 1 hour. While baking prepare icing below.

BUTTERMILK ICING:

1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. white syrup
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 lb. butter

Boil to soft ball stage. Pour onto warm cake that has holes punched in with meat fork.
