SPICED CANDIED NUTS 
2 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. water
3 inch stick of cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
Dash of salt
3 c. whole walnuts

Combine sugar, cream of tartar, water, salt and cinnamon in electric skillet. Set temperature at 350 degrees and cook, stirring only until sugar is dissolved. Cook until indicator light goes out, then quickly dip nuts with fork into mixture to coat. Place dipped nuts on greased cookie sheet to harden. Yields about three cups.
