NUT LOAF CANDY 
2 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. water

Boil until it threads. Pour 1/2 of the boiled syrup over the stiffly beaten whites of 2 eggs, beating it hard, while the remaining half of the syrup boils until it cracks when put into cold water. Then pour slowly into the beaten syrup, stirring all the time. Add 1 cup chopped Oregon English walnuts, beat until partly cold. Pour into a deep dish and slice when cold.
