3/4 c. flour 1/2 stick softened butter 1/8 tsp. pepper, if desired 1/2 tsp. paprika, more if desired 1/4 tsp. potato starch or grated sm. potato 1 med. onion, grated 1/2 tsp. salt Gravy from roast Knead until all ingredients and form dough; knead thoroughly and form into loaf shape. For Roast: Wrap in aluminum foil so can open on top to baste. Put in oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Put in pan with roast if making roast. If not, use leftover gravy. Every 15 minutes, open aluminum foil and drip gravy from roast; close aluminum foil. For Chulent: Put on top of chulent without foil. Before Shabbos, turn once and baste. |
