3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs beaten and mixed with all of the above ingredients
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 2/3 c. sour cream
1 tsp. flavoring (vanilla, almond or nutmeg)
3 c. flour
1 c. shortening

Mix all together and knead on floured board. Grease cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees until brown. Sprinkle with sugar while warm.
