FRIENDSHIP CAKE 
Use a wide mouth glass gallon container. Do not put in refrigerator. Stir with a wooden spoon. Secure top of container with a paper towel and rubber band. Do not use lid that comes with jar. It has to breath. Stir everyday.

Day 1: Add starter, 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1 medium can of peaches with juice. Cut peaches in small pieces. Stir everyday and cover with paper towel.

Days 2-9: Stir everyday.

Day 10: Add 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1 large can crushed pineapple with juice. Stir well and cover.

Days 11-19: Stir everyday.

Day 20: Add 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1-2 jars maraschino cherries and juice and one large can fruit cocktail with juice. Stir well.

Days 21-29: Stir everyday.

Day 30: Drain fruit from juice. Divide fruit into 3 equal parts. You have enough to make 3 cakes. Divide juice into 1 1/2 cups each. Give to a friend with recipe and keep one for yourself to start again.

CAKE RECIPE (ingredients for one cake) :

1 cake mix (any kind)
2/3 c. oil
4 eggs
1 sm. instant pudding
1/3 of fruit mixture
1 c. chopped nuts

Bake in well greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

ICING RECIPE:

8 oz. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well. Instead of icing, you can serve with ice cream or Cool Whip. Use any combination of cake mix and pudding you like. GOOD LUCK!
