COCONUT CREAM PIE 
1 (8 or 9 inch) pie crust
3 egg yolks
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1/3 c. flour

Beat egg yolks in saucepan. Pour in milk, and vanilla. Mix well. In separate bowl mix sugar, flour and pour into the milk mixture. Cook, stirring constantly. Boil until mixture thickens, then add 1/2 cup coconut. Pour into baked pie shell.

MERINGUE FOR PIE:

Beat 3 egg whites until stiff. Pour in 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoons vanilla. Mix well. Put on top of pie filling and sprinkle with coconut on top of meringue and brown in the oven at 350 degrees.
