FROZEN COLE SLAW | |
1 med. head cabbage, shredded 1 tsp. salt 2 c. sugar 1 c. vinegar 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. mustard seed 1 carrot, grated 1 green pepper, chopped fine Add salt to cabbage and let stand 1 hour. Mix together sugar, vinegar, water and seeds; bring to boil for 1 minute. Let stand until lukewarm. Squeeze water out of cabbage. Add carrot and green pepper. Pour syrup over cabbage and stir. Freeze in plastic containers. |
