RAISIN - BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. shreds of wheat bran cereal
2/3 c. milk
2/3 c. flour
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease bottoms only of 8 medium muffin cups, 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches, or line with paper baking cups. Mix cereal and milk in medium bowl; let stand until cereal is slightly softened. Stir in remaining ingredients just until flour is moistened (batter will be lumpy). Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes. Immediately remove from pan.
