FLOUR TORTILLAS 
4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. warm water
2 tsp. baking powder
4 tsp. shortening

Combine dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Add water and work dough with hands until manageable.

Knead dough 15-20 times. Then allow to stand 10 minutes. Form dough into balls the size of an egg. Roll out until 6 inches around. Place on a hot skillet or griddle. Cook about 2 minutes on one side, flip and cook 1 minute or until done. The hotter the skillet, the less time it will take to cook. Use ungreased skillet.
