STOVE TOP COOKIES 
3 c. oats
Dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk

1/2 c. peanut butter

Heat the ingredients in the saucepan over medium to high heat, stirring constantly. When it starts to boil, start timing. Boil and stir for 2 minutes. Immediately remove from heat and add peanut butter. Stir until peanut butter has melted and pour over the oat mixture.

Dip by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. It will harden into cookies but my family likes it best with a glass of milk when it is still soft and warm. We just dip it into bowls and eat it with a spoon.

Variation: Leave out the cocoa and fix these for a special hot breakfast on a Saturday morning.
