FRENCH APPLE PIE 
1 deep-dish pie crust

Mix:

3/4 - 1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon & toss with 6-7 c. sliced apples

Heap into pie crust.

CRUMB TOPPING:

Cream together 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Cut in 1 cup flour. Pat onto apples. Bake at 425 degrees for 50-60 minutes. If crust becomes brown, line with foil.
