CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
Icing:

1-1/3 c. icing sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
3 tbsp. butter
1-1/2 tbsp. hot water or coffee

Put all ingredients into a small bowl; beat. If too stiff to spread easily, add a few more drops of liquid. Frost. Cut into 25 squares.

Cheese Layer:

Beat cream cheese and egg well. Blend in sugar and flour, gradually beating until well blended. Stir in cherries. Set aside.

Chocolate Brownies:

1 pinch of salt
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. almond extract

Beat eggs until frothy. Add sugar, flour, nuts and salt. Melt butter while stirring in cocoa. Add to rest of ingredients. Stir well. Spread 2/3 of this in a greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Carefully spread cheese filling over brownie mixture. Cover completely with remaining brownie mixture.

Bake in 350°F oven for 30-40 minutes. Should show signs of pulling away from edge of pan when done.
