BUTTERY BISCUIT BREAD 
1 stick butter
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. self-rising flour

Melt butter in large skillet in a 400°F oven. Mix flour and buttermilk. Pour mixture over melted butter. Use a small glass to make indentions in the dough, but do not cut through the dough.

Bake at 400°F for 15 to 20 minutes. This bread has a very buttery, crusty bottom.

This bread was amazing, I got lots of great compliments. It was soft and buttery, with a nice color crispy top. I experimented a little. In order to get a crusty bottom I used a 9x9 inch square glass pan. I notice that when is used one of those flimsy aluminum pan, the bottom was soft and not crispy at all. I assume because the aluminum pan did not get hot enough to cook the bottom.
