POTATO AND ONION CASSEROLE | |
6 lg. potatoes 1 bx. onion soup mix (2 packets) 1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks) Scrub potatoes. Do not peel. Slice thin and place half the quantity in large shallow baking dish. In separate pot, melt butter and add onion soup mix. Pour half the mixture over the potatoes, making sure all are well coated. Place remaining potatoes on top, and pour remaining mixture over these. Cover firmly with tin foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Can be uncovered last 5 minutes. Serves 6 to 8. |
