2 oz. chocolate (2 blocks)
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1 pinch salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Butter pan first. Add all ingredients, except butter and vanilla. Let come to boil, stirring only frequently; turn heat down and cook until soft boil stage (forms a ball when drop by teaspoon in cold water).
