FISKEKAKER (Fish Cakes) | |
2 lb. fish, cleaned, skinned & boned 1/2 lb. boiled potatoes 4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. nutmeg 6 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. milk Suet Mash the potatoes and put through the grinder twice with the suet and fish. Add the fish, spice and seasoning. Work in the milk by pounding with a wooden potato masher until stiff enough to form cakes. Make patties. Brown in melted butter. |
