1 c. milk
5 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix milk and flour in saucepan. Cook until thick and smooth, stir constantly. Set aside to cool. Beat Crisco, butter and sugar 4 minutes. Add cooked mixture and vanilla. Beat 4 minutes. Yields frosting for 2 layer cake.
