REFRIGERATOR ROLLS 
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup boiling water
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 pkg. yeast (or equivalent)
1/2 cup warm water
3 cups unsifted all-purpose flour, loosely packed

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Pour boiling water over shortening. Add sugar, salt and egg. Add yeast mixture. Add flour, 1 cup at a time, working after each addition. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight.

Roll out and cut on floured board. Place on greased baking sheet and allow to rise until double in size (about 2 hours).

Bake at 450°F until brown.
