POWDERED DRY MILK REFRIGERATOR
ROLLS

2 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
2/3 c. dry milk
6 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Bring 2 cups water, shortening and sugar to a boil; cool to lukewarm. Soften yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water; add to cooled mixture. Add dry milk and 4 cups of flour; mix well. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Add salt, soda, baking powder and remaining flour or more if needed to make a dough that is easy to handle. (Cover and refrigerate until needed.)

Roll out to 1/3 inch thickness and cut in 2 inch rounds. Crease across center with a dull knife, brush with melted butter and fold over, pressing together. Cover. Let rise until triple in size. Bake on greased baking sheet 15-18 minutes at 450 degrees. Yield 2 1/2 to 3 dozen rolls.
