GERMAN CHOCOLATE LITE CAKE 
1 bar (or 3 squares) Baker's German chocolate, dissolved in 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
4 egg yokes
4 egg whites, beat stiff
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add egg yokes, 1 at a time. Add chocolate mixture, beating between each addition. Add flour with buttermilk. Fold in egg whites carefully.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Do not open oven door for at least 20 to 25 minutes or cake will fall.
