2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
2/3 c. applesauce
3 eggs
6 tbsp. baking cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. water
(1 c. chocolate chips for top)

Mix all ingredients together. Blend at low speed for 2 minutes. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips on top. Bake 350 degrees, 40-45 minutes.
