3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter

Mix together in saucepan, sugar, flour, cocoa and salt until well blended. Add milk and vanilla; mix again. Cook mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until mixture thickens to consistency of gravy and remove from heat. Add butter. Serve over hot buttered homemade biscuits.
