9 inch pie shell 1/4 lb. cubed ham and or chopped bacon 2 c. milk 3 eggs 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. white pepper 1 tsp. chopped chives 1/2 c. diced Swiss cheese Dash of nutmeg Brush pie shell with egg white and prick with fork. Cook ham or bacon in skillet. Bacon should not be too crisp. Place meat and cheese in pie shell. Scald 2 cups milk. Cool slightly, then beat together with remaining ingredients. Pour custard into pie shell. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 375 degrees until top is golden brown. |
