1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
raisins (optional)

Mix flour, baking soda and salt together in a small bowl. In a large bowl, combine other ingredients. Add flour mixture and stir until blended. Drop spoonfuls of dough on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar. Cook 10 minutes in a 350°F oven.
