4 to 5 (2 inch) chuck steaks 1/2 c. red wine (Burgundy) 1/3 c. salad oil 1 onion, thinly sliced 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. thyme 1 clove minced garlic 1 bay leaf 8 peppercorns Place steak in dish and pour ingredients. Cover with foil. Refrigerate overnight, turning several times. Cooking: Place 4 inches from coals. Broil about 15 to 20 minutes on each side (30 minutes). Brush with remaining ingredients. |
