SAUSAGE-CHEESE GRITS | |
1 lb. hot bulk sausage 1 c. quick cooking grits 1 tsp. salt 4 c. boiling water 1 stick butter 1 (6 oz.) roll garlic cheese 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 c. milk, approximately Cook sausage in skillet until brown, drain on paper towel and set aside. Add salt to boiling water and stir in grits. Cook according to package directions. Add 1 stick butter and the roll of garlic cheese to hot grits. Put beaten eggs into a measuring cup and fill with enough milk to make 1 cup. Add to grits mixture and place in a buttered 2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Dust top with paprika before serving. Serves 6 to 8. |
