ENGLISH DROP COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
Dash of salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. cold coffee
1 tsp. baking powder
3 1/2 c. flour
1 to 2 c. raisins, cooked first
Dash of cinnamon and ginger

Cream brown sugar and butter and salt. Add eggs and mix. Mix soda in coffee and add to first ingredients. Blend together along with dry ingredients. Drain raisins well and mix. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 325 degrees until done. Do not overbake.
