CHOCOLATE PECAN BROWNIES 
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Combine butter and chocolate in microwave dish. Melt. Set aside.

Combine sugar, flour and baking powder in a bowl. Add chocolate mixture, mixing well. Add eggs, beat well. Stir in vanilla and pecans.

Pour mixture into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 3 dozen (1 1/2 inch) squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
