CHOCOLATE-PECAN BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans

Combine butter and chocolate in top of double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook until chocolate melts. Combine sugar, flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl; add chocolate mixture, mixing well. Add eggs, beat well. Stir in vanilla and pecans. Pour mixture into a greased 9" square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 3 dozen (1 1/2") squares.
