FRESH APPLE BARS | |
1 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. cooking oil 3 eggs 2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. diced apples 1 c. chopped nuts Beat above first three ingredients well. Sift together the 2 cups flour (all- purpose), salt, soda and cinnamon. Add to the beaten mixture. Fold in 2 cups diced apples and 1 cup chopped nuts. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and cover with sifted powdered sugar. Cut in squares or bars. Remove from pan and cool. Store in airtight container. Will keep several days in cool place. May also be frozen. |
