SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. dark molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sour cream
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
About 5 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, creaming well. Add eggs; beat well. Dissolve soda in the molasses and add to the creamed mixture, mixing well. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon and ginger; add alternately with the sour cream. Mix well. Chill thoroughly.

Roll out on lightly floured board to 1/4 inch thickness and cut with desired cookie cutters. Place on greased baking sheet in 350 degree oven until lightly browned.
