SOFT GINGER COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) bottle dark molasses
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1 c. sour milk
3 c. flour

Mix brown sugar, shortening, eggs, and dark molasses. Add remaining ingredients and mix just past sticky stage. Roll out and bake at 400 degrees for 7 minutes. Burn easily - watch carefully.
