BANANA BRAN BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas (4-5 med.)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. bran buds or whole bran
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix butter, sugar, eggs, bananas and vanilla in large bowl. Add bran and let stand 5 minutes. Mix dry ingredients. Blend into bananas-bran mixture. Pour into 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Turn out of pan and cool on rack.
