JOE'S HUNGRY MAN BACHELOR CASSEROLE | |
1 box elbow macaroni 1 can corn or peas or both 1 can tuna fish 1 tbsp. butter Salt Pepper Grated cheese (optional) Turn on the TV to any sporting event, preferably a Red Sox game. Between innings, bring a saucepan of water to a boil. When baking add elbow macaroni and go back to finish the inning. After the 1st Red Sox error or 6 minutes (which ever comes first) drain macaroni into colander. Heat 1 can of corn or peas or both. Take macaroni and add butter. Add can of tuna. If your eating with your roommate, tuna will suffice. If your cooking for that special person in your life, shrimp or crab or lobster can be substituted, depending on her preference. Run into the living room to check the score. Upon your return, fold corn, tuna and macaroni into a casserole dish. Season to taste. Mayonnaise can be added here as well although the calorie intake skyrockets. Sprinkle cheese (any brand or flavor) over the top to taste. Place in microwave for 1 minute or until cheese melts, or Red Sox commit another error. Remove and serve (with plates if you have guests or right out of the bowl if its a close game and you've got to get back to the set). Serves: 2 hungry men or 4 average people. |
