VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. thinly sliced onion
3 c. water
1 c. sliced celery
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. sliced potatoes
1 can kidney or pinto beans
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
2 1/2 tsp. salt

Brown ground beef in large saucepan, stirring until crumbly; drain. Add onion, celery, carrots and potatoes. Cook, covered, until vegetables are tender; drain if desired. Add water, tomatoes and salt. Simmer, covered for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Simmer to your likeness.
