HONEY APPLESAUCE CAKE 
3/4 c. honey
1/3 c. butter
1 egg
1 c. thick unsweetened applesauce
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Warm ingredients to room temperature. Cream thoroughly honey and butter. Add egg and beat well. Add applesauce alternately with sifted dry ingredients which have been mixed with raisins and nuts. Pour into a greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour. Cut into 2 x 2 x 1/2 inch pieces. Makes 20 servings.
